The Weather Table
We are in Spring and Loving it. The Weather is warm most of the time, but you may find a rainy day or two once in a while
For the night, you can see the bright stars with only a few clouds hanging from above. It is a great time to look at the stars if you have nothing else better to do.
Escaping My Thoughts (Open + Alan) « Thread Started on Aug 11, 2008, 11:40pm »
Rroan knew very well she shouldn't be here; not tonight. She knew she should be at home, taking a bath, or going to bed early, not illegally entering a bar and purposefully going straight for the alcohol. She gulped down her second shot, the self accusation burning it's way through her guilty soul. It was the eve of the day her mother had left her. The day Rroan would never forget. The eve of her transformation into the queen bitch of her school.
She slid off the bar seat and into the crowd. The lights flashed around her and the music blasted into her ears. She wasn't paying attention to the song, just the beat. She let herself go, redirecting all the emotions she had inside to her dancing. She threw her arms up and was glad that the song had a strong, dark beat to it. Her body swayed to the music.
Rroan wore her daily black, low top converse covered slightly by tight low cut jeans. The jeans, a dark navy, hugged her butt, hips, and thighs, but flared slightly at the calves. She had on a halter top that connected at the top of her neck to loosely hang down, over, and around her chest leaving her shoulders and upper back exposed. A band of fabric tightened itself below her chest keeping the shirt securely on her body and highlighting her toned body. The shirt itself, with the pants, showed off mid-drift to lower torso.
The song faded out as another one faded in smoothly. Rroan looked around. There were stares. She reached out her hand and immediately a young man's shoulder found it's place. His hands hung loosely around her waist and her hands now hung loosely around his neck. He was taller than her but only by four or more inches. He was younger than most of the men in the club, although obviously older than her. She didn't waste time being polite and quickly moved her body against his to the beat of the music. Rroan quickly fell into motion with him, turning around to grind her body against his now and again.
Every now and again, she switched dance partners. She remembered dancing with the boy more than once, but the same with the others. She stopped caring about what they looked like and just kept dancing as the music blasted around her and the clock ticked later by the minutes. If Rroan had looked, she would have noticed the glowing clock in the dark nightclub already said 1:57. But she didn't look because she didn't care what time it was. She was gonna be here all night long.

Alan was walking down the street. The night was chilly, and he could almost see his breath take a smokey form when he let it out. Wearing a light zip-up coat in black, a pair of jeans, and a black T-shirt with a design made of white and shades of gray, he wasn't that much of a guy who would stand out if he was at some music gig. He was looking around for places to play, and this seemed like a street to look around for that. He could clearly see the bars, cafés, and small stores all lined up side by side. One of these places must have an open performance time.
It wasn't that he wanted to make money, or even start a band. He just wanted to sing some songs with his guitar. He never was a huge musician, but he did play to express himself sometimes. Some of his friends would say he was more than an average guitarist. His singing voice was a bit soft, so he always accompanied it with his old guitar.
Coming to a stop on the dark sidewalk, he scanned his surroundings once more. Seemed like a few bars were open. He had already checked a few places, but they were all booked, and had no free time for people to perform on their own. His searches weren't so great so far, and he decided whether he found anything at one of these bars he would still stop by for a drink atleast. He wasn't in such a great mood, and needed to loosen himself up.
When he came inside, he could already hear the sound of music in the air. The bar was filled; people were dancing on an open space, a group was on the stage, groups sitting all around the tables and seated areas. He went over to the counter top, got a drink and sat down at a small table watching the crowd dance. He took his jacket off, and got into a relaxed position, arms folded with his legs stretched out so they could feel better after all of the walking.
There were always those special girls that were over almost any guy they could get their hands. One of them seemed to be quite an attractive girl. Probably younger than he was. She seemed familiar to him, and he was quite sure he had seen her before. But where? He had no idea. He sat back, taking a drink from his beer, and just watched her.

As the song ended, Rroan realized she had been dancing for a little more than an hour. Sweat coated her skin as the lights danced across her body. Her long dark brown hair was partly matted against her neck and her heartbeat was fast. Letting out an exhausted breathe, her arms fell from her most recent dance partner. The next song started and as she neared some other men on her way out of the crowd, they got into her way. They still wanted to dance. Rroan gently pushed them out of the way. "I'll be back," she assured them.
After pushing past the boys her hand immediately went to the black hair tie around her right wrist. Rroan ran her fingers under and up the nape of her neck, pulling the wet hair up into a casual bun. She tied it loosely with the hairband and turned to the bar she was approaching. "One shot, please," she shouted toward the bartender. She slid onto the leather seat, pushing past a boy's leg who was next to her. Taking the shot glass, she gulped down the cool, acidic alcohol. Immediately she felt the cooling, calming effect.
Rroan sat back and relaxed a little. Then a familiar face caught her attention from the corner of her eye. Quickly turning to her right, she smiled. "Hey, your're that guy from the other day. Umm--" she said snapping her fingers softly thinking back to the other day. "--the sick one! Oh, are you feeling better?" Yet, as she said that, her senses turned a little fuzzy and the room seemed to shake a little. She grasped out and onto his shoulder, holding herself balanced. "Sorry, I just spun too fast." Although the lightheadedness had disappeared, her hand held firmly onto his shoulder.

He noticed the song finish, and that girl make her way out of the dancing area. Some of the men were clearly wanting to dance a little more with her, and he started to get up. They weren't letting her past, but she pushed the aside with not even a glance. He sat back down, and took a sip from his drink. He let out a yawn, and kept his eyes on her.
She got a shot from the bar, he noticed, and she made her way towards the seated places where he was at. He flickered his eyes back and forth, trying to look at anything else, but he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. He knew her somewhere, and she wasn't bad looking, either.
When she sat down to his left, he tried not to be impolite, and turned his attention on the rest of the bar's scene. What he didn't expect was a voice come from her direction. A female voice.
"Hey, you're that guy from the other day. Um--" She paused for a moment, obviously trying to remember the same thing he was. "--the sick one! Oh, are you feeling better?"
"Uh-" He was about to reply, but she seemed to suddenly get the effect from her drink, and held onto his shoulder. She seemed to recover, and apologized. "It's alright... not the first time I've ran into a girl who's taken that stuff." He tried to make a friendly smile, and looked at his shoulder where she had her hand. "I'm doing fine, to answer your question. Sort of surprised to see you here."
He looked to the mass of dancers and added, "I noticed you have a knack for dancing with alot of those guys down there, too." He looked back to her, his icy gaze looking into her own set of eyes.

Noticing his glance towards her grip on his shoulder, Rroan quickly took back her hand. "Sorry," she muttered too quietly for people to hear in a night club like this. Again, she followed his gaze into the crowd. "Oh, yeah. Dancing helps me get rid of my thoughts. Were they all guys, cause I swear, one of them looked like a girl," she added quickly, letting out a laugh. She didn't really care or notice, she had just payed attention to dancing. As her eyes scanned she saw some men still watching her as they danced, like a tiger in wait for its prey. Rroan turned away from the crowd. Her head tilted back, and she let out an exasperated breath. The lights danced around the ceiling, but her eyes didn't focus on anything in particular.
"You know, you could dance with me. Then it wouldn't be, 'a lot of those guys down there,'" she said, faking a manly voice. Her voice lightened up. "It could be, 'that one really lucky boy who gets to dance with a hot, sexy, drunk girl.' You could be living everyone of those perverts fantasy. Any one male's fantasy." Rroan let out another laugh. She turned to look back at him. "I mean, who wouldn't want this?" Rroan leaned closer to his face, her hand going up to hold his jaw. She lingered for a moment, her hot breath on his mouth and her hand carefully caressing his jawline, before her lips gently touched his. The kiss had been perfected. It was masterful, seductive, and simple. She pulled away instantly after the first moment of contact, staring blankly ahead of herself.
Almost no boy she used it didn't want more. And that was the whole objective. Give them something, but in the end it is their idea to continue. They would think they were in control, that is was actually there idea; but it wasn't. Rroan was in control the moment her warm breath caressed his very lips. She knew exactly what would, or at least what should, happen. "Of course..." she lingered, not continuing, waiting for him to make an action: talk to her, kiss her, pull her up to dance with him, anything. She was a hunter and he was the prey. The trap had been set, and now all she needed was to wait.

OOC: Back.
He was listening to her talking about the dancing, and laughed when she mentioned dancing with a girl. He was about to talk about something else when she continued on.
"You know, you could dance with me. Then it wouldn't be, 'a lot of those guys down there,'" her imitation of a guy's voice made him chuckle, and when she continued he looked back to the dance floor where some of those guys were still watching her intently. He just hoped they didn't get too jealous to come up here and cause any trouble. Last time that happened... he never liked fights.
It was exactly what could provoke an idiot to come up here and try to interrupt them that happened. Her sudden move on him made him surprised and perplexed. When her lips left his he longed for more, but suppressed the feeling. He smiled a little, and said, "You must do this alot? I know a girl who like play when I see one." He looked her up and down, and added, "Especially with so many spectators over there." He jerked his head towards the dance floor. A few of them still looked at them both.
What was he going to do now? Give in to this girl's whiskful way of getting what she wants? Or maybe he shouldn't... He wasn't too sure. He had to admit that she was very beautiful, and had a way about her that made him feel the butterflies in his stomach.

[[A little graphic?]]
Rroan listened to his comment. He was right. There still were so many. But some of them had brushed away, thinking he was perhaps an ex or something. Rroan's picked up a peanut from a bowl at the bar, ate it and licked her fingers one by one. "I guess you are right. I don't want to be greedy or anything." Rroan slid down from her chair and turned into the crowd. "Au revoir," she yelled back, one hand waving back at him. As her words got lost into the crowd, so did she. Her spectators followed after her. He'll be back. she assured herself. She had gone into the crowd, going a little closer to the blasting music. The beats were strong and her moves were seductive. Her body moved with the boy behind her. Her back was towards him, her right hand grasping her left wrist around his neck. His hands groped her abs and tried to sneak up and down as far as they could until Rroan stopped them. It wasn't that she didn't want it, just not with this guy.
Her hands let go and she walked away from the guy only but two steps until another had started dancing with her. This time she faced him, her hands moved around his waist and her nails gently caressed his lower back from under his shirt, sometimes teasing itself down below his pants a bit. This boy had obviously been watching Rroan's reaction to the other, because he didn't cross the boundaries more than once. Rroan liked this, but this was only the wait, it was the chase that got her excited, and eventually the kill. Patiently, Rroan waited for the boy to come back. The spectators couldn't do anything about it on the dance floor. But again, they wouldn't be able to stay there all night.
